Yes­ter­day was a pretty event­ful day. Sat­urdays are sup­pose to be week­end days and not so much work­ing days, right? But being a designer and pho­to­grapher such things turn out to be totally dif­fer­ent. The day star­ted out very bad. My iMac crashed in the morn­ing and it was not work­ing at all any­more Thanks to the back-ups I was up and run­ning again by the end of the day. While the new machine was work­ing hard mim­ick­ing itself as the old one (great Mac fea­ture), I shot an event in Tan­zwelt Move­ment. Volker Rosin, a well known Ger­man (kids) enter­tainer was giv­ing a per­form­ance there. It was great to see how one per­son can hold the atten­tion of a bunch of kids for an hour with just a singing and clap­ping. When I came back the iMac was not yet fin­ished set­ting up but I had to present logos for a new res­taur­ant For­tu­nately they are Italian, easy going and as res­taur­ant own­ers work­ing late. So it was not a prob­lem to res­ched­ule the appoint­ment to the end of the even­ing. Finally at 10:30 in the even­ing I was present­ing them the logos. I can’t remem­ber ever doing that so late! And they liked what they saw! As a mat­ter of fact they even choose one without any alter­a­tions (yes this does not hap­pen often). For now I can’t say or show much more as the res­taur­ant will open in Septem­ber and they are not yet pub­lic with it. But I wanted to share the logo because we are pretty proud of it! When we can, we will show more of course!

So all in all a long and event­ful (Satur)day but with good res­ults! After the break you can see 2 more pic­tures with the logo.

Recently we had a very nice shoot­ing with my new ball­room couple. Suki and Andreas dance together for only a few months but they developed a very good and suc­cess­ful part­ner­ship. Last week­end they danced their 2^nd com­pet­i­tion and got sil­ver medals (I still think they deserved gold on that day). The guys wanted a small shoot­ing in their dance out­fits. Here is what we’ve got from the day. It was a very nice shoot­ing and we all had tons of fun.

Today I got the chance to stroll around town with the new Sigma DP2. Unfor­tu­nately the weather was not so great, the light was extremely bor­ing and my time was lim­ited so not much spec­tac­u­lar stuff. The DP2 turned out to be clearly faster than the DP1, the col­ors are superb and I love this FOV. It looks like the files are pretty free of noise! Oh and yes, the lens is incred­ible! I think it is the sharpest I have ever seen

The weather looks to get much bet­ter in the com­ing days so hope­fully I can give you much more inter­est­ing stuff in the next couple of days!
